Kuumba: Creativity is today’s principle. To always do as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it. This means more than works of art, but so many parts of life have artistic aspects and we might notice. All of creation is a work of art. Every living thing shares the common creative trait. The principle of Kuumba can also help to remind us that our ability brings responsibility. Let’s be good to our imaginations and creative parts of ourselves today! Honor Kuumba in your meditation time today: what amazes you about yourself? How are you inspired by the creative things you possess? Honor Kuumba for your community. How are you dreaming of a fully free, creative future? What are ways we will work together to leave this world better than it was when we inherited it?
